Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 2 2023

Ivan Sapozhnik ("us", "we", or "our") operates the https://thelasso.app website and the Lasso application (hereinafter referred to as the "Service" or "App").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from https://thelasso.app/terms.

Service Providers

We employ third-party companies to facilitate our Service, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

1. Error Reporting

We use the following third-party service to detect, prevent and address technical issues:

1.1 Sentry

We use Sentry to help improve Lasso's stability and performance by monitoring and tracking errors and exceptions that occur within the app. If Lasso encounters an unexpected error or crashes, Sentry collects relevant diagnostic information to help us identify and resolve issues quickly. This data is collected anonymously and does not include any personally-identifying information.

For more information about Sentry's data practices and privacy policy, please visit the Sentry Privacy Policy page.

2. App Configuration and Analytics

2.1 Firebase Remote Config

Firebase Remote Config is a cloud service that allows us to remotely control the behavior and appearance of the app without requiring users to download an app update. It allows us to define parameter values that can be changed remotely and to fetch the current values of those parameters in the app. When we use Firebase Remote Config in the app, the following information is collected: Firebase installation IDs. Remote Config uses Firebase installation IDs to select configuration values to return to end-user devices. Firebase retains Firebase installation IDs until the Firebase customer makes an API call to delete the ID. After the call, data is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days.

Based on our agreement with Paddle, Paddle is not allowed to use users’ information for their own purposes and may only transfer this information to third parties where required by law, or where such third parties process information on Paddle’s behalf.

Paddle is registered as a data controller with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Their data protection reference number is ZA152280.

Lasso doesn't handle any payment info. All payments are processed by Paddle. For more information, please visit Paddle Privacy Policy and Paddle GDPR Policy.

4. User Data

4.1 Trello

We use the Trello service for user feedback and bug reports. When the user submits the built-in feedback form we collect and transfer to Trello the following personal information from users of our app: Name, Email address.

We collect this information in order to create a Trello card in our private board so that we can better assist the user.
